There was a time in your life where you weren't the biggest fan of water, but then three times in one week, you and your mom visited your friends the Aemmers to go swimming in their pool. Besides slipping and hitting your head on the deck two of those three times, you really seemed to enjoy it.
What was interesting though was how it helped you to completely adjust to bathing without your baby tub. You had already made the transition to the big tub but just didn't seem to love it. After that week of concentrated pool time, however, you would stand at the bathroom door signing that you wanted a bath. And you would always cry when you had to get out.
Since you were starting to actually enjoy water, your mom decided to take you to a Water and Music Play Day at the Akron Art Museum. Even though it was crowded, you LOVED it!
They had lots of water sensory activities and you splashed and had so much fun. Your friends Emery and Hayden even came! But in normal Silas style, for a good portion of your time there, you just walked around and around a pole on a walking ramp in the corner away from everyone. You were actually angry when your mom made you go back to the water activities.
Overall it was such a fun day! You even got to briefly experience the Art in the museum.

Sometimes someone just has an off day. They may be extra irritable or emotional or just not feel quite right and happy. Well, there was one Saturday when everyone in the Murray house was a little off. Your dad was stressed with school work. Your mom was overwhelmed with chores. You were teething as always. All three of you could have used a good nap.
But then your mom just couldn't handle being stuck inside, so she packed you up to just get out of the house for a bit to relax and so your dad could work.
Just as you were both getting in the car, mom's friend Jamey called to tell her about a bird exhibit at the Seiberling Nature Realm in Akron. Well, you know your moms love for birds, so she immediately got excited, and the two of you headed there.
And it was just the distraction that everyone needed that day. Dad was getting stuff done, you enjoyed just walking around, and your mom loved seeing the birds of prey up close. Soon the very rough day wasn't so bad after all.
There was a time in your life when your mom doubted you. She had watched Emery destroy towers of toys and blocks and laugh so much, but yet when she tried to build a tower for you to destroy, you just wanted to take one toy or block at a time and play with it. Your moms thought, "Well I guess he just won't like to build and knock things down."
What a silly thought that was. She need only it give you a little more time because once you became interested in blocks and towers and building and destroying, it became one of your favorite things to do.
On Sundays, your mom would build foam towers for you in the nursery and you would destroy them with so much joy. Then at home, your parents could barely get a tower started before you swooped in to knock it over.
Your mom and dad loved watching you build and destroy because even though it was such a typical toddler boy activity, it made their hearts so happy to see you learning and having so much fun!
